The Impact Accelerator is an initiative designed in collaboration with Hempel Foundation, supporting education organisations in low- and middle-income countries to strengthen their capacity, deepen their impact, and scale sustainable solutions through tailored technical assistance, coaching, and peer collaboration.

Shaping scaling through reflection, alignment, and strategic planning

Each organisation’s journey begins with a structured diagnostic process designed to surface key strengths, challenges and opportunities. Through organisational assessments, team reflections and data visualisation, organisations gain clarity on where they are and where they need to go.

Tailored support through expert-led tracks and coaching

Based on the key priorities identified in the diagnostic phase, each organisation engages with curated content and tailored support across various tracks: fundraising, finance, partnerships, leadership or monitoring, evaluation & learning (MEL).

Learning in community to build strength through peer collaboration

Beyond individual coaching, the Impact Accelerator brings together a cohort of education organisations for shared learning and collaboration. Through facilitated workshops, offsite gatherings and informal peer exchange, participants gain fresh insights, share challenges and co-develop solutions.

From programme learnings to inspiring action for sector-wide change

Through curated case studies, sector events and peer learning exchanges, the programme creates space for reflection, dialogue and knowledge transfer.

Impact Accelerator grantees

Twaweza

Twaweza means “we can make it happen” in Swahili. Twaweza’s Pay-by-Skill system transfers small cash rewards to early grade teachers for each individual student who masters FLN skills. So large classes with true learners represent opportunity, unleashing teachers’ agency and initiative.

Teach for Bangladesh

Teach For Bangladesh (TFB) strives for immediate and long-term impact by cultivating collective leadership. The flagship program, Teach For Bangladesh Fellowship, recruits the most exceptional 1% of recent graduates and young professionals to address the educational inequity in Bangladesh through working directly with the under-resourced schools both inside and outside the classrooms for two years.

The Impact at Scale Labs programme provides catalytic funding and tailored support to help promising, locally-led education organisations scale their impact. The programme works with grantees to generate and distil evidence and learnings on what works in education and why, sharing these findings to inform national, regional, and global policies and programmes.

Scale Toolkit

The Scale Toolkit, developed through the Impact at Scale Labs programme, offers practical tools and learnings for organisations to assess and improve their solution's readiness for scale, regardless of whether it's a new or an existing project. It's built around the Desirability, Viability, Feasibility (DVF) framework, with every tool meticulously linked to these key pillars. The toolkit also includes real-world case studies to inspire and inform your scaling strategies.
